Bark'n Biscuits - The Way it Should Be

It all started 5 years ago when Matt Estin, co-owner of Bark’n Biscuits, was living in San Angelo Texas. One day he decided to make some wheat- free doggie treats for his French Bulldog, Gunner. After Gunner taste tested the treats and gave them a paws up, Matt brought them to a farmer’s market, where he sold out in about an hour. With the encouragement from family and friends, he started selling the made from scratch line of biscuits called “Summerland Dog Treats” throughout the state of Texas.

Matt spent the last couple of years making and selling dog treats full-time. Gunner told him that his fur friends in Fargo, North Dakota wanted to be able to buy healthy dog treats too, plus Gunner said it was “too hot” in Texas to live anyway.

Matt found an empty store front next to South Bark Doggy Daycare. Gunner liked the idea that the dogs and their owners could just walk down the hallway to buy some treats right after being picked up from daycare.

Matt and Gunner worked hard to open Bark’n Biscuits, Fargo’s first pet bakery, so that all dogs living in Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead and surrounding areas could pick up some healthy treats, toys, and many other items that would make their tails wag! Gunner suggested that they even include some treats and toys for cats and they added a room for the dog owners to buy presents for themselves so they didn’t feel left out.
